Hey Y'all, So there's this meme going around, where people post their wishlists for the December Holidays. You know the one? Where people say that they want fic, or a pony, or whatever. I'm too poor to give anyone anything this year, so I'm not really gonna play that game. Instead, here's my twist: One of my housemates works with/at a local homeless shelter for teens. From what she's said, they run around 15-20 kids at any time, and several of them live there on a fairly permanent basis. Here's the thing. These kids pretty much don't have anything new, and the vast majority of their clothing and belongings are donated. Sounds pretty ok, right? Yeah, if you're interested in wearing clothing that's several years out of date, or about three decades too old for you - nobody really wants to dress like they're sixty when they're sixteen. Not to mention, can you imagine wearing second hand bras and panties? You might be aware that I've got a seasonal job at Lane Bryant. This is awesome, for a number of reasons, but the key one here is that I've asked for and been given permission to use my 40% employee discount for the plus-sized girls who live at this shelter. I'm planning on hitting up Victoria's Secret or even Macy's in our mall this week and seeing if they'll match this discount as I'd really really like to get all the girls who live at the shelter some underwear that's never been used, is in their size, and is pretty. Instead of giving me anything this holiday, I'd love it if you could donate some money towards this cause. I'm hoping to raise enough money to be able to get each girl two pairs of panties and a bra. Five pairs of panties run $25 at LB, and each bra works out to around $20. I figure if I can get around $200, I can swing this. Of course, if I can get more than $200, I could do something for the guys. Spokane is freezing y'all, and they're always in need of things like socks and hoodies. I'm betting that I could talk a couple of stores into letting me buy things at their employee discount rate, and it would be awfully cool if the guys weren't left out of this. So yeah, that's my Christmas wish this year. Help me help out a bunch of kids who don't have anything, and could really use something to make their lives a little bit better.

Author's notes: Some of you have read a good portion of this, as it was posted on my regular journal a while ago. This was my rambling, I have no idea where in the hell it's going fic. Basically, I'll admit, there isn't a whole lot of plot here. But if you're in the mood for an angsty, sappy, somewhat fluffy story with a bit of smut...well, here you go *grins*
Also, this is somewhat in the same universe as my long ago story Living With Memories. Not that you need to read that before this one, but there are a couple of vague references to that story, just to let you know.
